Offering a unique architectural experience that blends the site’s historic heritage with a striking modern vision, Tasman guests will have a rare opportunity to experience three distinct eras of design within the 152-room hotel brought together by award-winning Australian architects FJMT and interiors by Joseph Pang Design. The complex of buildings that make up the Tasman includes the original heritage building from the 1840s, the Art Deco building from the 1940s, and the contemporary glass pavilion.

Rooms and suites are designed to showcase the property’s rich architectural narrative, and feature details that reflect each design period in a seamless, layered experience. From carefully restored heritage details such as convict-hewn sandstone walls and heritage gas fireplaces to Tasmanian Sassafras wood design details, each of the guest rooms and suites incorporates Hobart culture while offering panoramic city views .

The hotel will offer three distinct dining concepts, including the signature Peppina restaurant, created by the famous Tasmanian chef. Massimo Mele.
